It started with one patient — not a business plan
He came through the emergency room — a man who had been waiting months for a specialist appointment. While he waited, his condition quietly got worse. By the time he was finally seen, it wasn’t a routine consultation anymore. It was an urgent procedure.
If he had reached that specialist even a few weeks earlier, the emergency might never have happened.
That patient wasn’t unusual. As a GP working in preventive medicine, Anora saw this pattern constantly: patients — Czech and foreign alike — who wanted to take care of their health but got stuck trying to find a doctor in the Czech Republic. Not because they didn’t care, but because booking a specialist appointment often meant hours of phone calls, a GP not accepting new patients, and a wait for a specialist that could stretch for months with no clear end date.
Every delay had a cost. Some patients gave up. Some got worse. Some ended up exactly where her ER patient did.
So she stopped waiting for someone else to fix it.
